Past Pupils’ Union
Golf Society Captain’s Prize 2007

The St. Peter’s College Past Pupils’ Union Golf Society had two very successful outings in 2007. Almost sixty past pupils turned out in Rosslare Golf Club on June 29th to compete for the Society’s Captain's Prize.

The course was in excellent condition and weather conditions were kind. The winner was Eddie McNulty who was highly impressive in going round to compile 45 points playing off 14 and he certainly showed his liking for the back nine as he came home in 26 points. John Redmond took second with 43 points off 18. Third was Rev. Jim Curtis with 42 (15) and fourth was Martin Quigley (10).

Fifth and sixth places went to John Murphy and Tony Pierce both with 38 points playing off 15 and 9 respectively.

Prize for the front nine went to Seamus O’ Leary with 22 points and Michael O’Brien took the back nine prize with 20 points. Joe Flynn, the captain of the Society for 2007, presented the prizes in the clubhouse after the competition.

Thanks to Rosslare Golf Club for the use of their facilities.
